Every girl loves having versatile pieces in their wardrobe. The worse thing is to have a closet full pieces that stand alone but doesn't go with anything else. In an effort to limit the amount of money I spend shopping and the number of unworn pieces in my closet, I have taken to buying only things that I can think of wearing several different ways. I've been inspired by the "X ways to wear Y" posts from different bloggers including tobrightenmyday, fastfoodandfastfashion and extrapetite, as well as Lucky magazine so I've decided to do one of my own.
I just bought this necklace today from the Banana Republic sale - 40% off all items in stores. including clearance items Orig price $45, Sale price $27. I also had a $10 reward certificate so it ended up costing less.

Color
One of the things I've come to appreciate as I started reading more and more blogs is the use of color. Here I've compiled a list of work OOTD that I've managed to come up with in my quest to avoid wearing so much black. Now if I can only find well fitting red trousers/skirt....
Again, sorry for the lighting, i have to figure out a way to get better lighting and/or maybe get a new camera?
Wearing from left to right: (1) A green Mango cardigan with a Zara ruffled blouse and olive green pants from china + Sam Edelman gold/bronze flats, (2) A F21 orange cardigan (long but tucked into pants) with an Esprit shirt (too big, need to do some altering), necklace from street fair and navy blue banana republic trousers + SE flats again, (3) A blue BR monogram cardigan and necklace with a blue Mango knit sweater and same blue BR trousers + Nine West grey wedges
Wearing from left to right:(1) An Ann Taylor Loft ruffled grey cardigan with blue/green Mango knit and BR monogram grey tank, and BCBGeneration knit grey skirt + Ralph Lauren black rainboots, (2) A Mango purple cardigan with a purple Mango vest, Japan fit navy blue Uniqlo dress shirt and navy blue BR trousers again + purple Naturalizer mary janes
How do you incorporate color into your work outfits?

Happy New Year!
I love the start of a new year, all the endless possibilities waiting to happen. And what can't you have a new year without? Why, a New Year's resolution, of course! And mine is to blog more.
Last night, my lovely friend Karen invited me to a New Year's Eve party at her friend's friend's place at one of the nicest apartments I've ever been to. I kicked off a new year by branching out of my comfort zone with my new dress and blazer jacket. I've always wanted to rock the blazer/tuxedo jacket and dress look and i finally got a chance to.
Clockwise from left to right: Rachel Roy Dress (from Macy's) - sale $94, Black Clutch (from boutique in HK), H&M blazer/tuxedo jacket - $39.95, Nine West Heels (from several years ago)

Welcome!
Welcome to my first post! I started this blog because i was inspired by my fellow petite bloggers to chronicle my adventures/challenges in developing a well-fitting wardrobe for the petite sized me. I'm sure all of you have experienced the issues/frustrations with fit and the limited clothing options available for petites. I didn't use to understand why i had so many clothes but at the same time, nothing to wear. When i discovered the petite blogging world, i finally realized...my clothes were not fitting right. That's why i have so many clothes but yet, i can never find anything to wear. My resolutions for the year:
1. Incorporate more color/prints into my outfits
2. Buy better fitting clothes
3. Tailor my current wardrobe to fit me
= save more money yet have a better edited, well fitted wardrobe.
Hope you'll enjoy my journey as much as i will.
More in future posts on how i will be styling my new pieces above....
